- Our client is a small business who is offering an internship opportunity following recent growth.
- This international organisational development consulting practice specialise in leadership strategy and development. They target middle-level managers to C-level executives.
- There are three service areas of focus: leadership strategy and development; change and transition; strategic HR and organisational development.
- They provide solutions in strategic consulting, facilitation services, learning programs, executive coaching and assessments.
- Our clients has been around for over 20 years with over 20 offices worldwide to date. In the Australian office, they currently have 2 employees working on site full time and about 4-6 alliances/subcontractors that they engage regularly.
- In 2 years, it has experienced significant growth and they are currently looking for 2 interns to lead this expansion.

The interns required skill set: |
|
- Self-starters, people who takes initiative.
- A competency in written communication skill (English), PowerPoint formatting.
- Good attention to detail and organisation skills.
- A strong aptitude for learning is desirable.
- Adaptable and able to navigate in ambiguity/uncertainty (or at least be made aware of this.)
- An outcome of the internship includes developing the ability to navigate in ambiguity.
- A strong research ability and aptitude for learning is desirable.

A list of tasks the intern may assist with |
|
- The intern will work with the Associate Consultant to design customised client course material.
- They will also be involved in conceiving a library to archive and build up the company’s research on leadership, change, organisational development and strategic HR.

Value the intern will take from this role |
|
- Interns will be working closely alongside the associate to the Managing Director, and on occasions be working directly with the MD.
- They will gain exposure and get first-hand experience on how a start-up consulting practice functions.
- Their daily tasks will give them exposure to the latest research and thought leadership in leadership and contemporary adult learning. The role is predominantly an office role.
- Learning will be achieved predominantly on-the-job.
- Depending on capability, they have the opportunity to get involve with other types of work, which will be provided on an ad-hoc basis.
- Given that it is only a small company, the type and amount of work is dependent on the situation and clients’ needs.
